Bronagh Allison is 16 years old and is currently completing Year 11 at Mandurah Catholic College. In July, Bronagh will travelling to Kiel, Germany where she will be competing in the Laser 4.7 World Championships representing Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club and Australia.
Last January Bronagh competed in the Australian National Championships in Lake Maquarie, NSW and placed 3rd female and achieving 15th overall. Bronagh was awarded with a local scholarship program, the Peel Regional Academy of Sports which assists her with strength and conditioning.
This will be Bronagh’s first international competition, and the experience will provide her with invaluable knowledge that will be beneficial for her future sailing endeavours.
Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club is privileged to have such a young and ambitious sailor representing the Club. If you would like to make a donation or support Bronagh in achieving her goals please contact the Office as all support will go directly to Bronagh.
Good Luck Bronagh and we hope you place well in Germany!
