This year, the training is going to be a little bit different. Instead of registering for training as a whole, you will need to register for a certain fleet. This means that you will receive a certificate for that course, and it will appear on your Australian Sailing number, which can be used in any Club.

Here is some information to which group you should register for:

6-15 years of age:

Greenfleet
Anyone that has completed Tackers 2 can register. Building fundamental sailing skills, for confidence and independence.

Intermediate Fleet
Anyone who has just recently moved onto a fiberglass optimist or an Open Skiff and has no racing knowledge/experience. Independent skill level, practicing fundamental, racing and technical skills.

Open Fleet
Those who have sailed most if not all of last season, either in a fiberglass optimist, Open Skiff, or a Minnow. More technical skills, further progress in racing and sailing in an open fleet.

15+ years of age:

Double Handed
Advanced training for any double handed boat (racing focused, we are here to have fun AND learn) after Out There 2/3. For RS Feva, Pacer, Tasar, etc.

Single Handed
Advanced training for ILCA's or Open Skiff (at coaches' discretion). Tactics and skill-based training.

What happens after I graduate from one fleet to another?
You will be emailed with instructions on how to register for the next fleet. it will not cost anything, as your payment at the start of the season covers the whole season.
