Your first sail starts here. Bring your family or friends for a free introduction to sailing at MOFSC.
Come and have a go.
Experience dinghy sailing with our experienced sailors in a friendly, welcoming environment. Enjoy a short sail, get involved and discover the fun of being out on the water.
Back ashore, meet our club community and chat with the team about junior programs, sailing courses and ways to keep sailing. You don’t need to own a boat to get started.
Just bring your sense of adventure.
We’ll provide the boats, lifejackets and sailing equipment. You bring comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes and a willingness to try something new.
Participants must be confident in and around the water. Children must attend with a parent or guardian.
A sail, then something to eat.
Make a day of it with the family. Enjoy the waterfront and visit our restaurant for lunch before or after your sail.
Sailing activities are free. Food and drinks are available to purchase separately.

What to bring.
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting wet
- Enclosed shoes—non-marking soles preferred
- A hat and sunscreen
- A water bottle
- A towel and change of clothes

Register each sailor
Register every person who wishes to sail, including children. Register online beforehand or with our team on arrival.

Follow the Discover Sailing signs to check-in. We’ll help you get ready and join a sailing session.

Sailing places are subject to availability. There may be a wait during busy periods, and on-water activities depend on suitable weather.
