Hello Members,
Well, we are nearly half way through the time trial season already, and its proving to be a good season so far due to some early promotions of this winter event, we have 4 new boats competing with us, as well as the regulars from past seasons. With some training before we started them off on their own, the newcomers are quickly proving to be in the running for trophies, with some places already under some belts.
The next Time Trial event is on July 29 and it is the 1st of our stand-alone trophy events for the season, being the Bouvard Cup. It’s never too late to join in the fun of Time Trials and training is available.
Time Trials is a great event focusing on Fun and Socialisation, plus it keeps your boat out on the water in the Winter months. Our volunteers do their utmost best to be as accurate as possible on the day with their timing, and I must say they do a fantastic job that is highly appreciated by all those competing.
If you don’t wish to compete, but still want to get out there and spectate, our club boat ‘Mistral’ is always out on the water and passengers are welcome to come aboard.
As for our other boating events, a Flyer has been put up on the notice board with a few dates of upcoming events. These vary from Ocean going overnighters, day trips up the river plus a flare and fire extinguisher demonstration night planned.
Our next event is on Saturday the 5th August – Mandurah Quays Steak Out catering for everyone with or without a boat – Click on the flyer below for more info.
Cheers and Happy and Safe Boating
Chris
